Hello! Just the fact that you are taking the time to read this tells me you already have what it takes to learn guitar. I had a passion for as long as I can remember, I began playing guitar and reading music out of a true love of the craft. I feel both are equally important if you want to pursue a career or even hobby with music. The love I felt brought me into the music world in the mid-sixties and continues today. I played bass out of necessity when my first band’s bassist quit suddenly. I feel equally comfortable with both bass and guitar so either instrument you may prefer works for me.
And now a little bit about myself and my background: I have toured with major acts and have headlined clubs and done substantial studio work. I have played with the likes of JT Taylor, Melanie and Dion just to name a few. My talents have taken me to venues such as Carnegie Hall and The Academy of Music in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I have memories of a music festival in San Francisco where I played with greats like Stephen Stills, Herbie Hancock and the incomparable Joni Mitchell. Another time I actually had Bon Jovi as my opening act!
I still play in a band professionally and give lessons whenever possible. My entire life still revolves around music and the people who love it. Learning music is an amazing, rewarding and difficult process. I am patient, thorough and have a grasp of the techniques needed so you can take your art as far as you want to go. I look forward to hearing from you and guiding you through this amazing musical journey!
